Mara Works is thrilled to be donating all proceeds to CAMFED - a social enterprise they have worked closely with for many years which supports girls in rural Africa to learn and lead. UNESCO estimates that out of the 132M girls between 6-17 out of school globally, 1/2 live in Sub Saharan Africa.
about Camfed
Through various holistic and grassroot-led programs, CAMFED provides vulnerable girls and young women in sub-Saharan Africa with the tools to learn, thrive and become leaders and change makers in their communities. With an aim to tackle poverty and inequality, CAMFED works to dismantle the financial, structural and systemic barriers young women face in accessing education and living healthy and fulfilling adult lives as independent, influential women.
Mara Works gives 100% of its proceeds to CAMFED - these donations will support the charity in paying for school fees, as well as the ensued costs and essentials - uniforms, books, and sanitary protection. This support also helps beyond the classroom, supporting young graduates with the training and resources they need to become economically independent leaders in their communities.
